Extract process use cases in Oracle Goldengate 19c

 

In Oracle Goldengate, you can configure an Extract process for one of following use cases:

1. Initial Loads - Captures the current, static data directly from the source tables.

2. Online Extract (or Change Synchronization) - Captures the ongoing changes in the form of DML and DDL transactions from the transaction logs. (Example: From Redo Logs in Oracle DB)
