Oracle Goldengate 12c/19c supports two architectures:
- Classic Architecture - Provides the process and files required to effectively move data across a variety of topologies, which forms the main components of the classic architecture.
- Microservices Architecture - Provides REST-enabled services as part of the Oracle Goldengate environment for the purpose of remote configuration, administration and monitoring.
However, from Oracle Goldengate 23ai, Classic Architecture has been de-supported and ONLY Microservices architecture is supported.
